2014-2015 I lost some people I cared deeply for in 2014 and some I knew from a distance. I think we all hope and pray for better days, especially for our kids. But life can quickly sober you up sometimes. Recently, I was sharing encouraging words with a friend of mine who had come to hunt with me that afternoon. We headed to the woods full of encouragement and anticipation….As he settled in to his stand he received a text from home informing him the washing machine had flooded the house…Also, the only deer he saw that afternoon was the one he spooked while heading to his stand. Real life…. but we balance our struggles with thankful hearts for the many blessings we experience and His grace we see on us and our kids etc .. and we know we can trust Him. He is good…”how we’ve proved it over and over” the old gospel hymn says..  So we move forward full of anticipation, knowing our washing machine may flood the house in 2015… but there will be a silver lining. There always is if you look for Him in it…David said, “You prepare a table before me…in the presence of my enemies” Psalms 23:5 (NKJV).  Apostle Paul said it this way, “We must through MANY tribulations… enter the Kingdom of God” Acts 14:22 (NKJV).  What’s your focus? Let’s look for Him this year with our whole hearts. As it says in the book of Jeremiah, “and you will seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart” Jeremiah 29:13 (NJKV).  For “the whole earth is full of His glory” Isaiah 6:3 (NKJV) for those who have eyes to see it…and the day is fast approaching when “the earth will be filled with the KNOWLEDGE of the glory of the Lord”  Habakkuk 2:14 (NKJV).  I pray 2015 will be a year of favor for us all. Blessings and happy new year to all!
